It's May. Nur Ein season is upon us. Nur Ein is the annual judged song competition. Every week you're given a title and a challenge. This year, Round 0 was "Trial by Fire" [incorporate siren]. Round 1 was "Internet Sensation" [sell an imaginary product].
I'm reading Fearless Creating by Eric Maisel, PhD. He breaks down the creative process into 6 stages. For each stage he describes the anxiety that must be managed, and appropriate and inappropriate ways to manage that anxiety.
FAWM has started. 14 songs in 28 days. I'm also planning to finish a few songs that I started. Today the transformer at work caught on fire, and after I got everything shut down, I had time to write a song... And I got paid to do it...
The deadline for NPR's Tiny Desk Contest was last night, 11:59 pm EST. As of 11:00 I had one complete take, but the audio was distorted, and the video was poorly lit. So I tried again, and again, and again. Take 90 or so was at 00:14. Missed that deadline.
